The function of this position is to: • Responsible for ensuring all jobs scheduled for the next day have all material and equipment pulled. • Run materials/ supplies to job sites as needed. • Track material returns by job and return to stock. • Responsible for all materials, supplies, etc., that leave the shop have been appropriately filled out on a material sheet. • List all overstocked items and give them to the Coordinator for vendor return. • Check and put away stock orders. • Maintain shop and yard in a clean and orderly fashion. • Assist in loading and unloading trucks. • Manage the logistics and volume of parts. • Be committed to maintaining adequate levels of parts • Keep track of all parts ordered, delivered, and used on jobs • Communicate to the field regarding equipment and parts orders. • Perform required documentation for ordering, receiving, and delivering each part to the field. • Support good customer service through efficient parts management. • Provide support to the administrative personnel as requested. • Assists Supervisors and Coordinators with items necessary to dispatch the crew in the morning • Notify the Coordinator of any shortages of stock items • List return to stocks and give to Coordinator for return to vendor • Put away any deliveries, mark equipment received with job name and number, stage in the appropriate area • Perform quarterly inventory count • Check schedule for all jobs installing tomorrow, pull material list, and stage • Remove clutter and scrap from the shop area • Pick up all garbage from warehouse, yard, and on building grounds • Delivery of needed material(s)/ parts to job sites • Report status of jobs pulled at day’s end to Manager • Pull truck stock for Service. • Notify Manager of shortages • Review schedule for upcoming jobs to make sure that all material lists have been turned in for pulling and staging, notify Department Managers if any are missing • Check with the shop fabricator for any needed stock • Maintain facility in proper operating condition. • Put away all extra materials brought back the day before • Maintain warehousing of Company supplied tools. • Generate check-out lists and reconcile upon return • Lock up building and yard • Communicate with Field Installation Supervisor throughout each project to assure proper, prompt completion of the job. • Manage Purchase Order process and completion of all PO’s (Goal is daily). • Complete daily part & equipment orders most efficiently and profitably possible. • Work with the manager to achieve full trucks and warehouse inventory efficiency. • Other duties as assigned by Management Qualifications: • High School diploma and college preferred • Continuously improve knowledge of roofing/construction in general, • Establish goals and objectives related to the position and a plan of action to attain or exceed set goals. • Be computer literate to the extent necessary to fulfill this function. • Knowledge of Excel and Word is required. Should also be very familiar with using smartphones, email, and outlook. • Must be capable of understanding coworker needs and favorably interacting with all staff. • Continuous learning through training from suppliers, trade shows, seminars, independent study, and other employees.
