It's great to be able to bring tunes to an old time session or to a dance! Bruce will be teaching some session favorites in Jamesport in this workshop. Saturday Fiddle Workshop Saturday July 16th 3-4:30pm at Jamesport Meeting House If you can just play a few simple old time fiddle tunes, or if you're an experienced player, this workshop will be useful and fun. We'll take a couple of classic tunes apart to understand what makes them sound unique and old timey. Starting first with short melodic phrases which we'll play them into our muscle memory, we'll add advice about bowing, then double stops, ornamentation and build it from there. You can keep it simple or go as far as you like. *Participants are free to film or record any parts of the lessons. We ask that you do not post recordings on social media.
