Hope is Oxygen is honored to host the nationally recognized Soul Shop. Since 2012, their mission has been to equip faith communities to save lives and bring hope to those effected by suicidal desperation. Endorsed by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, this one day interactive event is designed for clergy, staff, lay leaders and faith based clinicians. At a Soul Shop, attendies will learn; - how to prevent suicide in your community - the warning signs of suicide risk - how to ask a person at risk if they might be thinking about suicide - how to be a companion to those experiencing suicide loss - local and national resources available for suicide prevention - what the bible has to say about suicide - how to integrate suicide prevention into the life and ministry of your organization This workshop engages the question of how to cultivate a soul safe culture within your congregation or organization. *NOTE: 7 Continuing Education (CE) credits available to participants.
