Dear Jazz Players, I'm organizing Saturday afternoon Jazz Jams at my home in West San Jose Saturday from 1 - 5 PM. The next Jam is on 7/30. This will be our 4th Jam. Family and friends are welcome. Jams typically have 4 combos. Each combo plays for 50 minutes Each combo typically has 6 players. Skill levels range from beginner to pro. Combos are arranged by skill level on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be a potluck after the jam. We have between 10 - 15 people attending the potlucks. The Jam will be outside on the back deck under the shade of a big oak tree. The neighbors are cool with live music. If you are interested, email me using craigslist and include an email that you regularly check. I will send you a link to a form to sign up. Once I have your completed form, I will send you more information. If you registered for a previous jam, check your email for an invitation from me, it will contain a link to the new registration form. Drummers: I have a 6-piece kit with cymbals you are welcome to use Keyboards: I recommend you bring your own keyboards. I do have an entry-level weighted 88 key Casio and a sustain peddle you are welcome to use. Its action is ok but has a limited set of voicings. I also have a decent amp you are welcome to use.
