Art + Advertising Imagery
This program will highlight key learnings by Sensory Logic, Inc. from two decades of doing market research work for over 50% of the world’s top 100 B2C companies. The majority of that work has been in advertising, and company president and author Dan Hill will provide a top 10 list of insights along with examples drawn from TV spots, print ads, billboards, direct mail pieces, and websites. As an expert in facial expressions, the program will also include a few relevant artworks from the Museum’s collection, on exhibit, to emphasize the insights being covered.
Dan’s latest book is First Blush: People’s Intuitive Reactions to Famous Art. Previous books include: Emotionomics (chosen by Advertising Age as one of the top ten 10 must-read books of 2009 and featuring a foreword by Sam Simon, co-creator of The Simpsons) and About Face: The Secrets of Emotionally Effective Advertising.
