Please Note: This is an Outdoor Event, rain-or-shine (underneath a shelter outside the NoDa Brewing Company). It will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather (storms etc.)What We're Doing:First of all, we're going to be painting with our feelings instead of our head. Don't be intimidated! These will be abstract portraits, focused on colors, vibes, and positivity! Step 1: Arrive Step 2: Get any drinks/snacks you want to (Brewery does not have food, there is sometimes a food truck but it's recommended to bring your own snacks if you want them). Step 3: Contribute a song to the playlist we'll be painting to Step 4: Sign your name on the back of your canvas, then start off your portrait. I recommend just starting with a background color or large shape. Step 5: At the end of each song, we pass the painting along, and each person will be painting each other, since these are abstract, it really only takes a glance at the person you're painting, and then you can get started! Step 6: Sound confusing? Once we get going it flows pretty smoothly. You will need to look at other people a little bit and vice versa, but its mostly about capturing the vibes of people using positive colors :) Important Event Details:Food/Drink: This is NOT a BYOB (Bring your Own Beverage). The brewery does allow outside snacks, but you must purchase all drinks from the brewery. The price of this meetup does not include drinks, what it does include: NoDa Brewing Company has more craft beer choices than you could try, also Kombucha and cold brew coffee options as well! Includes: 1.5 hours of fun, stress free, community painting Your canvas, which you obviously take home after! All the paint you need to make it beautiful! If you want to take home some squirts of paint in to-go containers to make edits/additions later, you are more than welcome! Venue (NoDa Brewing Company)2921 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28206 The Brewery is around back, once you arrive at the location, drive through the fence and around back, it's not hard to find once you're there, but there's a lack of obvious signage out front of the building. 6:30 is when we will start the painting, I recommend arriving at 6:15 so you have time to get situated/ get a drink!
