Still looking for Bass Player/Vocalist

Description

My band, cruise Control, is searching for a bass player/vocalist.....to replace me. I have been doing this for over 60 years, and am ready to hang it up. Our band is very, very, successful at WHAT WE DO--entertain folks the same age as us, at lodges. VFW, Moose, Eagles, American Legion, etc. These gigs, by far, are the easiest I've ever played. The crowd really appreciates what we play, because it takes them back to their younger days. EARLY HOURS-6-9, or 7-10 gets you home at a decent hour. Applause after almost every song. Decent pay-at least $75 per gig, plus unbelievable, equally split tips. Dancers lip syncing to the song. The band does things the easy way. No rehearsals-ever. If 2 of us know it the other two follow. "Start together-end together-what's in the middle doesn't matter". Everyone in the band sings lead vocals-you will need to also. It makes it easy on everyone, if each of us is only singing 2-3 songs a set. The only down side-for some-is the fact that we work almost every weekend. 90 gigs on the books for this year. I'm sticking around until the right replacement finds us-that being said, my wife and I like to travel, and will be doing just that. So if you're looking for a way to continue playing, without busting your ass doing it, and enjoy playing with really nice guys, this might be the gig for you. Respond to this ad via CL return mail with a phone number, and I'll get back to you immediately. You can call me, Bob @ and I'll let you know any details you may need to know. Or, better yet, call Tony at -no answer, leave a message-he’ll get back with you shortly. You will be required to come out and hear what you would be getting into, sit in with us, and we'll go from there. Hope to hear from you soon..... If, after reading below, you’re wanting this gig, your best bet would be to come out this weekend, and talk to Tony face to face. Friday the 24th-6 to 9 at SaraMana Eagles, Lockwood Ridge & University or Saturday, the 25th, at the American Legion Largo, 130 1st Ave SW (E Bay & Seminole Ave) in Largo-also 6-9. Bring your axe and sit in-if it’s a good fit, the gig will probably be yours.
