ACTIVELY RECRUITING!!!!! The mission of the TMU is to support clinical and translational research across the USU community. We work with a wide array of stakeholders in military healthcare, academia, and industry. The TMU is currently conducting a research study to better understand leishmaniasis infected our servicemembers. Ever Afghanistan Deployed? we need your help to find out how often the parasite causing visceral leishmaniasis infected our servicemembers. This parasite can stay dormant without symptoms for decades but could put a person at risk for reactivation in the future. Protocol: Latent Visceral Leishmaniasis among Afghanistan-deployed U.S. Military Personnel This research study requires one visit to fill out a questionnaire and blood draw.
