Description
St. LOUIS PARK, MN—If you're looking for a reason to keep your Christmas tree up a few more days, the City of St Louis Park may give you an excuse.
Residents with city collection service may set live cut trees out for collection starting on January 4. The collection runs until January 22, on the regular collection day.
All decorations must be removed, and trees should not be bagged.
Trees will be mulched and used to generate energy at District Energy St. Paul.
Items like wreaths and garland, which often contain wire, will not be collected.
The City also asked residents not to leave trees or greenery in backyard woods or compost piles due to concerns around the spread of Elongate Hemlock Scale.
Christmas trees may also be brought to the city's brush drop-off site. Click here for location and hours.
