TRUCK & HEAVY EQUIPMENT DIESEL MECHANIC • Responsible for maintenance work on diesel trucks and equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components. • Occasional field repairs for equipment and / or trucks on various job sites. • Review, investigate and order required repair parts. • Sandblasting, truck & equipment painting and steel fabrication and welding. • Maintain a clean, organized shop yard. Skills/Qualifications: • Diesel repair and troubleshooting schooling and/or related experience. • High school or GED diploma. • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds. • Have a clean NYS driver’s license, CDL A or B a plus. • Possess good organization and communication skills. • Ability to perform all work functions required within the shop area or field, including but not limited to climbing, bending, lifting and twisting; being around loud noises and fumes; ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. • Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision. • Adhere to and perform tasks according to company and OSHA safety guidelines. • Will be required to pass pre-employment driving and criminal background checks, along with drug screening.
