Description
I've been a gun advocate all my life.
When I was finally old enough to buy my first hand gun -- we had a 7 to 10 day waiting period and you had to be at least 21 yr. old.
That was the law and no one objected to it.
Now almost 60 years later -- back ground checks can be done in no time because of the computers.
The only people that fear background checks are people that know they won't pass.
With all the unprovoked gun violence in this country today -- people should applaud the passage of background checks.
There is nothing about confiscating guns in this law unless you're mentally unstable. In that case - you don't need a gun - you need a therapist.
The law doesn't say anything detrimental to owning a gun -- it doesn't open any doors that will lead to Americans' right to bear arms to be lost.
This isn't a partisan issue - it's an American issue.
Any Politician that claims that is lying.
