Are you referring to the days when democrats were also just people that republicans disagreed with? Back when there a common goal to compromise on most issues. Or are you talking about the 1930s in Germany where the Brown Shirts and the Hitler Youth would attend any public speaking to shut it down, or stand in front of businesses to stop patrons? These seem to be the tactics of the leftist organizations such as BLM and Antifa. Or perhaps you're thinking of the days where democrats would actually follow the laws of the land. Not like today, where the Gov of NY has decided that they won't follow the Supreme Court decision regarding the 2nd amendment. Or selective application of the laws when it comes to democrats vs. republicans? You want to call the protest of Jan 6th an attempted overthrow and lock up all of the insurrectionists that trespassed at the Capitol. Only 14 months earlier, the democrats stormed the US Capitol (Oct 2018) and did the same thing There were 293 arrests. Although they were all charged with the same 'crimes' as the Jan 6th protestors, they did not spend a year in solitary. It is not the republicans that are marching outside of the Justice's homes, a violation of US law with no action by the DOJ. You weren't screaming when Antifa and BLM burned down city blocks during the summer of 2020 causing damages to businesses and federal buildings. Be careful when you try to compare the republicans to the 1930s Nazis. The Nazis were the ones that limited speech, the Nazis were the ones that seized guns, the Nazis were the ones that packed the courts, the Nazis were the ones that fixed the elections.
