This Sunday (JUNE 26) | Event logistics work by BICYCLE | $25/Hr -- Portland Sunday Parkways - Action Hero -- Sunday, June 26 - NE Cully Neighborhood Parkways Action Heroes help with the set up and logistics of the event. The work is all by bicycle and includes 15-20 miles of riding over the day. Parkways is an event by the City of Portland that opens 6 miles of roads to 20,000+ cyclist, walkers and rollers. WEBSITE: PortlandSundayParkways.org TIME: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM LOCATION: NE Portland - Cully Neighborhood TASKS: • Ride to 4 dozen intersections and set up barricades • Set up other route infrastructure • Help Parkways staff through the event with tasks - all by bike! • Ride again and take down the barricades REQUIRED: • Bicycle, helmet and the ability to ride 20+ miles in the heat. • Ability to follow maps, spreadsheets and written/oral instructions. • Ability to lift, carry, and set down 40+ pounds repeatedly PAY: • $25/hr for the full 9 hour day, including paid breaks. • Hours submitted to payroll and a paycheck is mailed within 2 weeks of the event.
