Have the opportunity to talk with school district personnel and apply for various positions needed for the 2022/ 2023 school year and beyond. Walk-ins are accepted between 8:30 - 10:30 am. Computers will be available to apply and complete any necessary assessments on site, as well as, to be processed for substitute work. Allow a few hours to complete all of the necessary steps. For questions, email Debbie Batchie, [email protected] Paraeducators (Part time 15 hours/ week & Full time 30 hours/ week). General Education ($15.73 - $17.78*/ hour) & Special Education ($16.54 - $21.13*/ hour) * = with credential. Candidates that do not have proof of meeting the federal ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act)/ NCLB (No Child Left Behind) requirement of 48 college units with a grade of 'C' or better in Math & English, will be given the competency exam at the event. This position prepares and distributes food in the school cafeterias during the lunch hours. Light cleaning and money handling is required. Arrive between 8:30 - 10:00 am to complete the application and get certified in Food Handling if you do not already have a San Diego County Food Handlers Certificate. This is offered at no cost to you. Custodian I (Full time 40 hours/ week) Custodian I ($16.95 - $18.69/ hour). This position cleans various common areas throughout school campuses. These shifts begin once the school day ends and access to classrooms, etc. is available. An oral (interview based) exam will be given to determine qualification for permanent positions. Substitute processing will be available at the event to those that qualify by application. Noontime Supervisors (Part Time 10 - 18.75 hours/ week) Noontime Supervisors ($15.72/ hour starting pay). These positions monitor children on the playground during recess and at the lunch hour. They also may support the site with various tasks such as making copies, locating lost items, accompanying children to the nurses office, library, etc.
