Last year we celebrated the reopening of the institutions on our block with the S. 1st Block Party and this year we're doing it BIGGER! Come be a part of our community on Saturday, July 23rd 4-7pm as we transform S. 1st Street and Parque De Los Pobladores. We’re so excited to collaborate with The San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles (SJMQT), Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana (MACLA), and Veggielution. This year we are also joined by Local Color, Chopsticks Alley Art, Womanhood, and so many more San José organizations! This year’s theme “We Are Seeds” is the foundation for an array of hands-on art activities, learning opportunities with Veggielution, and musical performances by MACLA artists in residence to celebrate San José pride. Keep an eye out for workshops, music, and activities to be released! This event is FREE and open to the public! RSVP for event reminders.
