STRAY FEMALE HUSKY - NEEDS FOREVER HOME

Description
Hello, We found this very sweet female husky wandering the streets in Oakland. It does not have an I.D. chip and there have been no positive identifications from previous owners to our various posts. We are very interested in seeing her go to a good home. For the past week we have fed her, groomed her, and socialized her with people and our other pets. What to know about her: -She is currently in Oakland but we are posting North of here in hopes she finds a home with more green space than Oakland offers. Transport north can be arranged. This will be open to the best new family, not the first to reply. -She is very loving and can become very calm very quickly -*however* her recent experiences on the street are evident in her reaction to new people/quick movements/or loud noises. I think she will become calmer over time. -She is probably 1 year old, does not appear to be spayed. -She is trainable and listens already to some commands. -She is apparently house trained. -She very much enjoys sitting very close to her human. -She is not a good candidate for an outside-only dog. She will howl if she cant be in the nice house with you. -She is going to have lots of energy and is recovering from being found exhausted and probably about 30lbs under weight. -She is a VERY smart dog and would require a little extra attention to keep her from escaping. At least initially while getting used to a new home, -She does not appear to be a good candidate in a house with an existing cat. Small animals seem to excite her and gain her immediate (overbearing) attention. -In general, a great dog. In good health (with the exception of being malnourished currently) We would keep her, but we already have 2 dogs and a disapproving cat. -With regards to children, Im not sure since I have none and havent had a husky before. It would be up to you to know whether this breed is an appropriate fit. To earn her: -You must tell me what your life scenario is that is having you pursue a dog (and specifically a husky) at this time. -You must tell me what your current accommodations are and why a high energy (potentially vocal) dog fits into that equation. -You must tell me if you are aware of the unique/high energy nature of Huskies (research it online if not). We will ask for a $100 re homing fee as the first step to proving you are serious and capable of caring for her. This money will be pooled for future strays we tend to foster. Note: The last 2 pics are on the day we found her. Thank you / questions let me know. We hope you are caring/loving/serious and capable, because she definitely deserves it. Best, Husky Friend
