Team Bright Side's annual fundraiser, "Spike Against Cancer," is an opportunity for you, your friends, your kids and coworkers to get outside and spend some time together outside under the lights at North Avenue Beach in downtown Chicago. By signing up as a team, you'll be entered into the volleyball tournament, plus unlimited food and drink. Do you want to hang but don't feel like playing? An individual ticket will get you entrance to the event along with food, drinks, DJ and more. About Team Bright Side: Tracey Scheppach founded Team Bright Side in response to her son’s diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The team trains athletes to compete in triathlons while raising funds to eradicate pediatric blood cancers. With over 750 athlete finishes, Team Bright Side has raised almost $2 million including a recent donation of $500,000 to the University of Chicago to fund a global data commons to unite data to target new therapies and improve long term outcomes for children facing cance .
