RENT - Seeking Strong Rock/R&B Singers

Calling all Mobilian-Bohemians! We are looking for a youthful, energetic ensemble of all races and genders to audition for Joe Jefferson Playhouse’s 2022 production of the musical rock-opera, RENT! After nearly 2 years of community division brought on by a deadly pandemic, we saw a unique opportunity to celebrate life, love, art, and unity by presenting a musical that honors all of these things. It is our goal to assemble an ambitious group of 15 people to come together and collaborate in an intimate and original approach to this production. We will be accepting Video Audition Submissions from June 15th – 25th. AUDITION FORM: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EtGLz4JPS5jaXBWThNR3SQnmqdkhKTtV/view?usp=sharing Please submit the audition form, as well as a video of you performing a 60-second excerpt from a Classic/Alternative Rock or Gospel Song suited to your voice and email audition forms and videos to the email provided. (If you wish to sing a song from the show, please do so in ADDITION to your rock-choice). Following submissions, a representative will reach out personally about any In-Person Callbacks which will be held on Thursday, June 30th. The cast will meet the evening of July 6th.
