I have a 6 man tent and a 4 man tent but what to do with it?

I wanted to stay in it but now that its so hot it might be a good idea to leave the area and go north maybe permanently. I initially wanted to put it up, stay in it, and clean it. Finding a place to pitch a tent is very hard to find around here. I know the Keys is a good area. I might just put it up and leave it there for the next person to use. Which I know is an idea hard to grasp for many. The Broward co shelters are interested in taking it. Miami and Wpb as usual nobody calls you back. I know this is housing but I didn't know if its wanted or offered. Plus I wanted advice. As Florida is such an odd state.
