Reach exists to equip today's incarcerated youth to become tomorrow's leaders. Since the launch of Reach one year ago: We have seen 44 students self-select into the program through the Juvenile Detention Facility, the GPD's Gang Prevention program, or Greenville County's DJJ (Department of Juvenile Justice)Of those 44 students, 29 are enrolled in on-going group mentoring services, and 11 have indicated a desire to begin a relationship with Jesus! All of these services are beginning to make a significant impact on recidivism rates - students enrolled in Reach are 50% less likely to re-offend within 1 year of their release (Our recidivism rate is 7%, while the state average is 16%). God has used the generosity of our donors, the countless mentors and volunteers of Reach, and the tireless leadership of Terrell Hagood and Jeremy Lister. We thank God for each of them, and we would love for YOU to be a part of what God is doing! On August 4th, you will have the opportunity to hear stories from our students, our mentors, and our team over hors d'oeuvres and dessert at the Celebration Gala. The recommended attire for this event is "suits and sneakers." We encourage you to wear your best suit or dress along with your favorite pair of sneakers (these could be Air Force 1's, Keds or your trusty New Balances - whatever you're most comfortable wearing).
