Position Summary: The Directional Drill Operator will operate horizontal/directional drill rigs, locating equipment and product support equipment for the installation of underground utilities including telecommunications cable, conduit, gas distribution, and fiber optic cable. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of work practices related to the telecommunication construction field to support underground utility infrastructure construction including safe operation of equipment, appropriate PPE and participating in daily and weekly safety talks. Physical Demands: Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job Must be able to work in all weather conditions Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds Qualifications: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) • 3-5 years of experience in utility construction industry. • CDL A (Preferred) • Demonstrate proficient use of IOS and/or Android applications. • Directional bore and heavy equipment operator • Speak English and Spanish is a PLUS! • Must have valid clean driver's license • Must be willing to travel if needed COMPENSATION PACKAGE: Salary dependent upon education, experience and credentials; Benefits package includes employer paid Employee Health 70/30, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance; 401k.
