Description
Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at Tap House 66 in Johnson City on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Ellen Doyle is headlining the show and Rob Fish and Josh Wahl are joining host Mike Peters. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $5 at the door, which opens at 6:30. Come out and enjoy the show. About the comedians: Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske, and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters. Josh Wahl is a filmmaker, podcaster and comedian raised in Binghamton. He’s been pursuing his passion for film all his life, writing and directing a wide variety of short films as well as his film analysis podcast, Frankly, I Love Movies. He’s performed stand-up all through school at talent shows and joined the Binghamton scene in 2021. Wahl focuses on autobiographical writing with enough pop-culture references to keep the audience guessing. Rob Fish is one of the hardest-working comedians in Utica. A regular at the Uptown Theater and a host of the open mic at 12 Stone Brewing in Utica, Fish is a prolific podcaster and a 30-something curmudgeon, which delights audiences all over New York. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and co-hosts the Up Next Sports Show and Comics of the Round Table on the Fish Guy Media Network. Ellen Doyle was raised in Scranton and currently resides in Los Angeles. She’s been featured on stages across the United States, including The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles and the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. She performed at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the World Series of Comedy and headlines shows all across the country – really putting that dance degree to good use.
