Cristen and Matt Meerdo ran a scam on Craigslist out of Pittsburgh, PA that they had mini dachshunds for $300. They required a deposit of $150 to "hold" the puppy of your choice. When it came time to pick up the puppy, it was excuse after excuse, then when I replied that I just wanted my deposit back, she stopped responding and blocked me. So they stole $150 for a puppy they never had. She claimed they have rental property all over and offered to return my deposit, but when I said yes I want it back, she disappeared. PLEASE BE AWARE IN CASE THEY ATTEMPT AGAIN, THERE ARE NO PUPPIES AND THEY WON'T RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT.
