Work Description - Assist the Maltsters in processing batches of raw grain into malt and maintaining high quality standards (Quality Control checks) - Warehouse Maintenance and upkeep (keep work zones clean and organized, clear trash & debris, etc.) - Order fulfillment: pulling, staging, and documenting orders - Participate in weekly “All Staff” meeting - Support other projects through your role as a collaborative team member - Participate in trainings and potential professional development opportunities - Schedule is Monday through Friday 5 AM to 1 PM - Occasional holiday work may be necessary due to the nature of the malting process Job requirements - please read carefully - You need to be able to be on your feet for periods of up to six hours - Ability to shovel grain and green malt for periods of 1-2 hrs - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly - Flexibility to meet adjusted production schedules - Be 21+ years of age upon hiring ( **consumption of alcohol is not a requirement of this position) Required education: - High School Diploma/GED or higher It might be a great fit if you can say you have: - Attention to detail and ability to work independently - Interest in learning and applying new skills - Forklift operation experience - Experience with hand and power tools - Warehousing experience - Desire to learn about the malting industry - Interest/passion about the craft food and beverage industry - Grain, Malt and beer knowledge. Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week) Schedule: This position is for a Monday through Friday schedule working 5 AM to 1 PM. Wednesdays are flexible and the schedule could be slightly adjusted.
