About the Role: We are a small food production business looking for someone to pack orders for delivery. This position is only 2 days/week for about 3-4 hours/day. The order packing involves taking finished product and packing it securely in a box in accordance with a purchase order, then sealing and labeling the box for delivery. All of our products are refrigerated food items like the types you would find in a grocery store deli. All order packing occurs entirely in a cooler and is 100% independent work. The ability to work alone and unsupervised is important for this role. We are a second chance employer and may offer employment to individuals with felonies or prior criminal history. Additional hours may be available if a candidate desires. This may be a temporary role or a permanent one depending on what the candidate prefers. Qualifications: Reliability, accuracy, and speed are the 3 key pieces to success in this position, in that order. The ability to accurately count, read and write in English, and do basic addition/subtraction are also necessary. The ability to regularly lift and move boxes up to 50lbs each is required. Responsibilities: Build cardboard boxes for packing. Read items off of a purchase order and pack the corresponding items securely in the box. Double check for accuracy, seal with tape, and label for customer. Stack the completed boxed orders for delivery. Adjust quantities and price totals down as needed if there are any inventory shortages. Schedule: *Please note hours may vary depending on order quantity or individual speed* Sunday: 3pm-7pm Wednesday: 3pm-7pm Anticipated Hours/Week: 5-8 Pay: $15-16/hr depending on performance and experience
