Alpine Special Treatment Center Inc.'s (ASTCI) mission is to provide an environment where adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders transition from acute crisis to stabilization. Duties: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining facility areas in a decent, safe, and sanitary condition. Housekeeping staff are key members of the infection control team, and play a role in reducing the spread of infection, exposure to bacteria, viruses, malodor, and contamination. The housekeeper must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and /or cleanup of blood, infectious materials, and bodily fluids in compliance with OSHA blood borne pathogen standard or ASTCI policy. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Cleaning common areas, patios, restrooms, client rooms and offices with special attention paid to quality of work. • Ensuring the working environment for staff is clean and safe. • Promoting a safe, healthy working environment for staff and living space for clients. • Perform routine cleaning and inspections of supplies / equipment to ensure that facilities continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of supplies do not deteriorate. • Consistently communicates in a positive and professional manner with staff members, clients, and visitors. • Maintains accurate and detailed checklists /records. • Completes logs and tracking as necessary (daily logs, request tickets, employee injuries etc.) Work Schedule(s): Full-Time (40 hrs. per week) Working Days: We are open 24/7. NOTE: Shifts may vary depending on facility needs, days off may not include standard weekend days or holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is favored. Salary/Benefits Competitive hourly rates commensurate with experience and the Housekeeper role. Key Requirements • Must pass pre-employment physical examination, physical abilities testing, TB testing • Designated Drug/Alcohol Testing required • Able to successfully pass a criminal background Investigation (DOJ/FBI) • Verification of educational credentials through a certified transcript. • Team player • Excellent attention to detail • On the job training provided. Qualifications Education or Training: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: Prior experience in environmental management, janitorial, or housekeeper role(s). Physical Requirements. This position requires walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time. Incumbent will be climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, use dexterity of the hand and wrist and arm strength to perform various reoccurring tasks. The position may be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to dangerous equipment and must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, or moving of objects/materials and /or cleanup of materials. Preferred Qualifications: • HS diploma strongly preferred • 2 years' experience working in healthcare facility in environmental management, sanitation, or housekeeper role(s). • Understanding of general cleaning standards in a hospital / healthcare setting, janitorial / custodial skills experience preferred. • Attention to detail, flexibility in schedule, dependability, ability to complete assigned work To apply submit your resume by replying to this post.
