Position Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering company products to customers promptly and ensuring smooth and consistent operation to satisfy customer requirements. Duties include operating a commercial vehicle on roadways, collecting monies due, and processing appropriate paperwork.
Position Responsibilities and Functions
-Loading, transporting and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
-Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied.
-Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
-Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
-Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
-Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
-Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
Basic Skills and Requirements
-Valid driver's license, Class C license or higher
-Clean driving record.
-Strong time management and customer service skills.
-Ability to walk, drive, lift 50 pounds and carry heavy items for extended periods.
-Attention to detail.
