Established AVL band looking for the right drummer. We're looking for a drummer who is creative, musical, happy playing in the pocket, and plays w/ sparse dynamics, who can help propel our original music to the next level. Looking for someone w/ pro gear, availability, & desire to help us turn this project into something truly special. Ability to sing harmony is a plus! We've been in various projects, but this band is something different. We got together simply for the love of music, and we believe that we're making the best music of our lives. We have released a few songs online with plans to release many more. We have been gigging in the Asheville area, as well as Atlanta, and we have some great gigs lined up over the summer. Our influences include: The Band, Neil Young, Hunter/Garcia, Patty Griffin, Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris, Van Morrison, Iron & Wine, Mandolin Orange, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Bon Iver, Joe Pug. A great drummer is a major component of a great band, so we're really looking forward to finding the last piece of the puzzle. We have 2 guitar players, 2 singer-songwriters, electric Wurlitzer, upright bass. We love drummers like Levon Helm, Steve Ferrone, Ringo Starr, Jay Bellerose, Kenny Buttrey, Steve Gadd, Charlie Watts. Please respond with samples of your work and general availability schedule.
