At Christiansen’s Contracting Company, we take care of our team because we know it’s our people who make us successful. We have been working in Central Oregon for over 30 years as a family owned and operated general contracting company. We are currently looking for an excavation superintendent, excavation operators, and excavation laborer's in Redmond, Bend, and surrounding areas! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Operation of an excavator, backhoe, skid-steer, roller, plate compactor, jumping jack and hot-saw. - Grade checking experience preferred - Equipment upkeep (grease daily, check fluid daily, and sweep/blowout cabs weekly) - Read grade stakes and set laser to grade - Must be willing to do manual labor depending on hired position - Observe hand signals, markings and/or grade stakes while operating equipment - Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed - Other duties assigned as needed Minimum Qualifications: - Previous experience operating excavators, backhoes, skid-steers, and rollers preferred but not required for laborer position - Knowledge and understanding of grades, elevations and reading plans but not required for laborer position - Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time, in all weather conditions - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen - Ability to work 7am-5pm most week days and some Saturdays when needed - Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers Pay ranges between $20-$40 a hour depending on qualification and hired position. - Health insurance with company contribution - 401K with company contribution - Company work truck and fuel card depending on qualification Call or text Cruz Christiansen at five four one-390-3475 to set up an interview with us.
