Are you an experienced tradesman with interest in maintaining a high-tech facility for an established engineering and development company?  Do you thrive at planning and executing maintenance and upgrade projects which result in a high level of craftsmanship?  Are you comfortable supporting and maintaining industrial equipment?  If so, the Maintenance Tech at AeroSpec may be the next step in your career.    The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for maintenance of equipment and coordinating building upgrades for AeroSpec’s world class facility.  The position is a part time, permanent position with flexible 1st shift hours. Duties: Performs all day to day building and equipment maintenance actions as required. Completes or oversees routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis such as air compressors, manufacturing machinery, HVAC, forklifts, etc. Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies to reduce potential down time. Routinely inspects the condition of lighting, flooring, drywall, storage racks, etc. Accomplish repairs, as necessary. Oversees quarterly and annual inspections such as fire alarms, sprinklers, exit lighting, back-up generator, backflows, etc.  Maintains records of preventive maintenance, equipment service, and replacement parts. Ensures all tools and equipment in AeroSpec’s Maintenance Tool Crib are kept in excellent condition. Implements safety-related equipment and upgrades.  Assist in material handling and work area clean-up. Oversees upkeep of the AeroSpec’s landscape and associated irrigation systems. Skills and Experience: 5+ years’ experience with similar building or facility maintenance Demonstrated ability to take initiative and multi-task. Possess a strong sense of urgency. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams. Expert knowledge in the use of hand power tools and equipment Extensive inside and outside maintenance work experience with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, wood working, drywall, painting and building requirements. Working knowledge of building and safety codes Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to drive a fork-lift. License Preferred. Valid Arizona Driver's license. Desirable Additional Qualifications: Journeyman level tradesman with previous construction experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to interpret product manuals to accomplish repairs Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns. Proficiency interpreting mechanical and architectural drawings.    Background in basic electrical systems such as starters, fuses, contacts, relays, etc. Understanding of electrical schematics/blueprints.   Benefits: Excellent growth and promotion opportunities.
