Entertainment Industry: FREE Mentoring

I’m going to trust the universe: if you were meant to see this post, you will. In the spirit of paying it forward, I am volunteering my time to mentor young people. I am accepting 3 new, absolute beginners who want to break into the entertainment space. Acting, music, dance, content creation…whatever. This would all be 100% free. No strings attached. I’m a former marketing executive and a current personal branding expert with ties to the entertainment industry. I’m 50ish, a mom(ager), and have an eye for talent. In order to be considered, all you need to do is upload a video of yourself to YouTube or Vimeo (make sure you make the video unlisted) telling me why I should consider you, what your talent(s) is(are), and where you see yourself fitting in to the entertainment landscape. Feel free to include any demonstration of your talent. For your privacy, please only use your first name and do not reveal any personal information like address or phone number. If I think you are a good fit, I will reach back out directly to set up an interview with more specific information. If you are a minor, your parent or guardian would need to be involved so please include a brief clip of them giving their approval. Submissions open to ages 8-14 and ages 18-25. This is a legitimate offer to help anyone starting out and does not require any payment whatsoever. The only requirement is talent and the drive to succeed. No “stage parents” allowed. This will be fun, uplifting, confidence building, and hard work. Most of the work with me can be done virtually but obviously there will be times you will need to be places in person (for example, an audition). Anyway, I have no idea if this will work but figured I’d give it a try!
