HIRING-- LAUNDRY SORTERS - $17hr Full-Time / Entry Level JOB SUMMARY Responsible for feeding linen in to production ironers and removing finished linen off of the belt and placing these items into carts according to standards for shipping. Must be trained on all areas of production including feeding linen into machinery, stacking linen, and working on the finish linen belt. Required to log-in to computerized production tracking system prior to beginning station assignments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Reports to lead and or supervisors. 2. Must be able to lift, bend and pushing consistently. 3. Will work in any production position feeding linen into ironers. 4. Responsible for final quality check of finished linen. 5. Takes all items other then Flat Sheets, Draw Sheets, and Bath Blankets off of the belt and places them into bulk carts. 6. Check to ensure there is always ten of each item in a stack (or 5 for Shower Towels and Underpads) and each stack only contains one type of linen item. 7. When there are no items to put away they should help the person on the inside of the other belt. 8. Reports equipment malfunctions immediately to ensure continued production. 9. Cross-trained in all production areas. 10. Follow safety guidelines, rules & regulations. 11. Keep shipping area tidy and well organized. 12. Must be able to work in close proximity of other employees. 13. Must be able to work in a team environment. 14. Long hair must be restrained while working on machinery. 15. Must be able to be on feet 100% of shift time include standing and walking. 16. Required to maintain established production goals. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly. Previous production experience preferred, preference given to Laundry/Linen production.
