Meet Ranger, he’s a 4 year old Australian Shepard collie mix. Male. He’s neutered and up to date on all of his shots (records come with). He’s kennel trained and knows standard tricks such as sit, down, stay, leave it, peek a boo and a few other fun things. He is good on leash in a setting where there are no cars or fast going items (runners, bikes, etc. his herding instinct comes through). We are rehoming Ranger due to his behavior towards small children, ours are (2 & 7). I have noticed a lot of resource guarding with toys and his food, and unfortunately he had bit our oldest twice, and three of the neighbor kids (4-7 y/o) who have tried pulling his toys / got in his space. We are making the hard decision to relocate Ranger to protect our little ones, because we are not in a place to afford the appropriate training / resources to ensure a bite doesn’t happen again. With this being said, Ranger needs a home without small children (I’d say no younger than 10). He does great with other dogs, and adults. He loves adventures.
