About 6 weeks ago I found a baby pigeon in the backyard. Could not have been more than 2 weeks old at the time. I hand fed her with a syringe until she could eat by herself. She is now flying but has not made an attempt to rejoin her flock. She just sort of hangs out on the back porch or goes into her cage my husband constructed for her. I do bring her inside when it is windy and she will sleep wrapped up in a rag. She is friendly and allows me to pick her up although she does screech. She does not peck or try to peck me. She is a good birdie and will try her best to not soil her surroundings. Problem is we have three dogs and one wants to eat her and I believe him to be serious. Birdie needs a forever home. Please contact me if you are interested in providing a home or working with her to possibly reacclamating her to the wild. Which may not even be possible. I will post pics soon. Text me. She will come with plenty of food.
