About the BookAfter losing their mother, Jay and Isabella move back to Shell Island. Jay has a difficult time adjusting to his new life until he meets a magical dolphin, Shelly. He has a special connection with Shelly but he doesn't know what it is until he meets Rusty (inspired by marine mammal activist, Russ Rector) and Victoria. Jay, Isabella and their new friends go on an adventure to get Shelly back to her magical Superpod but they run into some trouble at sea with pirates! Just when Jay thinks all hope is lost, he starts to believe that he has a greater purpose on this island. Will they get Shelly home before the pirates capture her or will what they learned about their families' past hold them back? About the AuthorYasmin Mohamad was born and raised in South Florida where her love for the ocean began. As a former classroom teacher, she decided to use her passion for teaching and writing stories to inspire children to protect dolphins and our oceans. She hopes to do that with her book series, Wavy Adventures.
