Description
I have several very healthy and gorgeous neon toadstools and they're starting to take over my tank a bit so i'm looking to rehome some of them.
Their care is very simple, similar to other leather corals. Moderate light, no calcium or other additives required, thrives in water that may be a bit dirty so excellent coral for beginners! When stressed or "sleeping" this coral will retract it's bright green polyps into its body. This happens from time to time in the aquarium as well and doesn't always mean the coral is dying or sick, they do this to shed kinda like reptiles do!
Each frag is already premounted to a small piece of rock or shell. Like other leathers it's not advised to glue them directly to where you want them to be. It's best to gently nestle them into a crevice or tie them down to a chunk of rock and let them attach themselves. You can then glue their anchor to your place of choosing. Over time they can grow to be quite large and have a very pleasing wavy edge to them. That's when they will start shedding little bits of themselves which will develop into their very own full sized coral given time! That's where these little guys came from.
Contact me for pricing! If you'd like to meet to pickup just know the polyps will likely not be out, it will look like a little pale nub on a stem. They really don't like to be touched or transported so it's inevitable. But once acclimated to your tank after a few hours or sometimes a day or two they should come right back to life!
