Please join CAVE & the CWIDB as we welcome the new Viticulture Extension Specialist, Charlotte Oliver! Charlotte has been doing research in vineyards since 2013, first in the mountains of northern Virginia and then in the eastern Washington high desert. Her work has focused on engaging vineyard managers in disease monitoring, surveys of perception of practices, and communication of fungicide resistance mitigation strategies. The goal of her projects has been to address a disease of increasing concern and form the basis of a robust workshop curriculum on writing fungicide spray programs that minimize resistance. In her spare time, she cares for her ever-expanding collection of indoor plants, hikes, and enjoys camping with her husband and dog. She is looking forward to exploring the Western Slope and visiting as many wineries as possible!
