Description

Be:Seattle is facilitating a renter council for elder community members to work together to strategize and fight for renter protections that they feel are important to their communities, provide peer-to-peer support for folks organizing in their buildings, grow renter power, and build community amongst Seattle-area seniors! Newcomers are welcome to join us! Renters of all ages are invited; however, the meetings are centered around renters age 55+. We meet on the third Wednesday of the month from 12:30 to 2:30 PM in the Capitol Hill Meeting Room on the second floor of the Capitol Hill Branch of the Seattle Public Library. The library is fully accessible and has free parking. The Capitol Hill Link Light Rail Station is four blocks away. Be:Seattle will provide snacks and beverages. All attendees must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask while not eating or drinking. Follow Be:Seattle on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to learn about upcoming events and actions for renters!
