EVENT START-END | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT DOORS OPEN | 6:45 pm CDT WHERE | Bar K, 501 Berkley Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64120 FOOD/DRINKS | A full menu of food and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. PARKING / PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION | Bar K has ample parking available and is accessible by public transit via the 77 bus. ACCESSIBILITY | The patio, dog park, and beer garden are all wheelchair accessible but the space we will be in will have uneven terrain, so navigating in a mobility aid may be possible but challenging. OTHER VENUE DETAILS | If we need to reschedule due to inclement weather, we will contact you and offer you a transfer to the future event of your choosing. WANT TO BRING YOUR DOG? | For Non-Members bringing a dog, entry is $10 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog in the household. You can complete the Guest Entry Form in advance or fill it out at our Front Desk. DOG ENTRY REQUIREMENTS • Must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP and Bordetella) • Must be properly socialized for group play • Must be at least 12 weeks old • Puppies who are under 25 lbs AND under six months of age are allowed in the Small Dog Park only, or on one of our on-leash patios. Once your puppy is over 25lbs or 6 months of age, they are permitted to play in the All Dog Park. COVID-19 PROCEDURES | We encourage vaccination at this event for the safety of staff and other attendees. What's it like? Bring your friends (or come by yourself) and your dogs if you choose, and spend your Thursday night at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason-- to have the kinds of conversations you really care about. We’ll provide lots of structure around these conversations to make sure you actually talk to people and it’s not awkward. We'll also give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you share. You’ll have plenty of conversational prompts on hand to get you started. Prompts such as, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from and you always have the option of coming up with your own question to discuss. Check-in for this event will begin around 6:45 pm. Please do your best to arrive before 7:00 pm so we can begin as close to on time as possible. Skip the Small Talk is dedicated to providing an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone. Due to the use of one-on-one conversations during the event, we request at least five days' notice to make sure we are able to provide an ASL interpreter for each person who needs them.
