This class aims to give well owners, future well owners, and the inquisitive a basic understanding of groundwater occurrence and behavior, aquifer types, well construction, and groundwater quality. Considerations for well siting and groundwater protection as well as both natural and human-derived sources of groundwater contamination will be discussed. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Bring your questions!
Paul Heisig, P.G. has worked as a hydrogeologist for a federal science agency for the last 36 years. He has performed water-resource and aquifer-mapping studies in eastern and central New York and on Long Island.
