Join Open Space Authority staff and volunteers for a creek exploration at a historic local park! Located in the eastern foothills of San José, Alum Rock Park is a haven for many species right along Penitencia Creek. Come discover the amazing world of unique plants and animals that thrive here.
This walk is about 2 miles round-trip with a slight (3%) uphill grade, which is paved. No pets please, but people of all ages and abilities are welcome. Rain will cancel. Meet in the main parking lot by the log cabin.
This program is a part of the 150th anniversary celebration of Alum Rock Park, California’s oldest municipal park. The Open Space Authority is proud to partner with Alum Rock Park and the City of San José Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS)!
