Gas fireplace company seeking trainee fireplace technician. The position will include service and diagnose, installation of gas inserts, gas fireplaces and wood stove, wood fireplaces and chimney sweeping. Applicant must be comfortable with ladders and roof top work. Looking for an individual who is well organized, team player, can write detailed notes and interact with contractors and homeowners in a professional manner. This position is full time year-round. This is an excellent entry level position for an applicant who desires to learn a trade in the construction and/or service industry. Experience preferable but NOT necessary. We are also looking for a sales representative, Previous experience in gas fireplace service or appliance installation a plus! but not necessary. Applicant must have strong professional work ethic, organized, detailed-oriented, able to multi-task, have great problem-solving skills and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, and high-volume workplace. You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to follow-through. You will be performing various tasks independently under little supervision. Experience preferable but NOT necessary. Essential Job Functions: •Communicate with builders and residential customers professionally •Greet customers as they enter the shop, provide help if needed in a friendly and efficient manner •Remain knowledgeable about and answer questions related to merchandise, sales, promotions, and store policy •Provide recommendations based on customer’s stated preferences, needs and desires •Comfortable going out on the field to provide customers with estimates, take measurement and show them brochures. •Answer phone calls, read and answer emails, return messages, answer customers questions and schedule appointments in calendar •Other duties as assigned
