QUEEN MODE, a women's Empowerment Gala. It will be an experience! Sat, August 20, at 5pm in the Long Key Nature Park Center, 3501 SW 130th Street, Davie, FL 33330 What does WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT mean to you? 14 women from different backgrounds were asked and varying answers were given but it all came down to a few basic things: Women want to be heard, respected, free, appreciated and treated fairly! On SAT, August 20th, we are taking the opportunity to bask in our QUEENDOM. EAT, DANCE, SPEAK, BE ENTERTAINED and BE MERRY! The BEST of ENTERTAINMENT: * JUNKANOO RIDDIMS. Feel free to dance to the beats of the drum! * Fashion Show with a difference by International designer Tanya Marie. * Praise & Worship Dance by Abba's little angels and coach Maxine Buntam. * Key Note Speaker - Dr. Susan Lycett Davis - Writer, Poet, actress and speaker. * QUEENS participation in "Speak your truth" A moment to inspire, motivate and empower! * Women in the shadows award ceremony: 10 local women will be recognized. * LICI SOUL and the Soul sisters will jazz it up. A jazz and blues session. * DJ Empress will rock the dance floor. ENJOY a culinary delight - A five star dinner will complement the evening!
