As part of the #360CultureLab program, Casa de Venezuela and the Fleisher Art Memorial, in collaboration with Cease Fire PA, will have as special guest Venezuelan-American activist and plastic artist Manuel Oliver, from the organization Change de Ref, an organization that uses urban art and nonviolent creative confrontation to raise awareness about the epidemic of armed violence. Manuel will be presenting and talking about Walls of Demand, a nationwide art project, and a way for his son, Joaquin, to have a voice. Manuel will discuss with those attending in English and Spanish, about the importance to demand change, while interactively painting a mural inspired by the City of Philadelphia, a powerful image will reflect on gun violence and the need for change.
