Description
The 2021 Big Clearwater Cleanup was such a success that we decided to host a yearlong cleanup series to help keep Clearwater clean and beautiful. Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Ocean Allies, City of Clearwater, Visit St. Pete Clearwater, and Amplify Clearwater on the 2nd Friday of every month for a morning of service. These monthly events will take place January through October. The culmination of these cleanups will be the Big Cleanup 2022, Clearwater’s largest community-wide cleanup event taking place November 7th - 12th. Events like this are invaluable in keeping litter out of our waterways. With your assistance, we'll make our coast a more beautiful place to live, work and play! The BeBot will be coming to the July 8th Big Clearwater Cleanup event! In partnership with Seagram's Escapes, Keep Pinellas Beautiful will host multiple cleanups with BeBot demonstrations across Pinellas County during the month of July! The BeBot Beach Tour Series aims to educate and engage the community while cleaning up trash on local beaches. Donated to Keep Florida Beautiful by Surfing's Evolution and Preservation Foundation, a charitable organization that maintains healthy Florida beaches, the BeBot serves as a teaching tool to work alongside cleanup volunteers. The BeBot collects discarded small debris at the sand's surface level under the remote control of trained staff. This new technology is a unique way to captivate beachgoers’ attention for an opportunity to educate them on litter prevention and waste reduction in honor of Plastic Free July. Don't miss your chance to witness the BeBot in action! For the full BeBot Tour schedule, please visit www.kpbcares.org/upcoming-events. Please note: All participants must register.
