We have four openings for Batch Operators at our manufacturing facility in Irwindale. Two of the positions are for 1st shift and begin at $17.00 per hour depending on your experience. The other two positions are for 2nd shift and begin at $17.50 per hour depending on experience. Some overtime may be required for all of these positions. Compensation includes full benefits. Batching Operators are responsible for inputting ingredients into a commercial food processor following precise procedures and formulas. Batching Operators ensure that safety guidelines are being followed and that production takes place in a very detailed yet efficient manner. They work with ingredients including fruits, sweeteners and flavors. Duties include: Load ingredients manually (up to 50 pounds); follow precise instructions on formulas with no deviation; ensure proper amounts of pre-weighed ingredients are input by double checking amounts with a hand held calculator; follow good manufacturing practice guidelines to ensure food safety; pump liquid ingredients via a control meter into processors and help other Batching and Packaging Operators as needed. Skills required are: Team-work oriented; Self-starter; Dependable; Responsible; Attention to detail; Good communication skills; Ability to lift and pour 50 pounds; Periods of standing and walking; Ability to work in an alert and safe manner; Ability to use a small hand held calculator for simple division; Ability to communicate in English with co-workers in a respectful manner; Ability to work overtime as needed; High School diploma or equivalent; Experience preferred in a food manufacturing production environment.
