Supervises ground maintenance personnel during day-to-day operations, including but not limited to job assignment, safety and equipment trainings, employee performance reviews, company purchases, and coordinates snow and ice removal on property. Takes responsibility to care of our historic tree canopy and property landscape. Operates and maintains lawn irrigation system, sets watering schedules, and informs residents and property users of watering times and dates that affect their living and working space. Assist the Maintenance Director in evaluating the condition of the lawn, trees, flower arrangements, flowerbeds, fertilizer, herbicide application, etc. Provides ground maintenance by raking leaves, cleaning debris, removing and spraying weeds, aerating, applying fertilizers, using proper safety equipment and precautions recommended by the Material Safety Data Sheets Provides trees care to include trimming, spraying, cutting, and controlling fire hazards. Works with outside vendors for services beyond our capabilities. Oversees greenhouse/purchase to provide flowers for landscaping, provides direction to the grounds crew, assist with annual flower planting and up keep, seasonal help, and may attends various classes to increase knowledge pertaining to current job responsibilities. Maintains reservoir property and irrigation equipment to include all piping, pumps, valves, strainer filters, spillways, vegetation, and rodent control. Performs required inspections, reservoir readings of water usage, storage levels, seepage flows, and required reports. Performs and maintains basic concrete repairs, asphalt work, fencing maintenance, gutters, and property drainage. Authorization to request a Colorado Adult Protective Services background report (in the case of position of direct resident care-such as nursing). 6. Must be fully- vaccinated. Medical or religious exemption documentation required upon offer of employment.
