Doorkeeper Property Management is looking for an addition to our team! As the maintenance technician, you will provide outstanding customer service to your clients, oversee the general upkeep of the building and its infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining internal and external common areas and grounds for our portfolio as well as maintain building operations and ensure that he facilities are safe and functional at all times. You will contribute to the establishment and refinement of best practices and work quality. You should be an organized individual who has excellent time management skills and an ability to work independently. It is important to be detailed oriented and to take ownership of your work. Most importantly, you’ll want to contribute to a diverse, supportive, and talented team. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications: Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building Grounds keeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner Assist in cleaning and preparing the make-ready units, including removing any trash from vacant units. Change light bulbs in units, common areas, and breezeways. Test and replace batteries in smoke detectors. Remove trash and debris from the parking lot, landscaping, and courtyard Use of power washers, snowplows, or lawn equipment as requested. Assist maintenance team with Snow removal and spreading of snowmelt. Assist in maintenance projects at properties Skill in operating grounds maintenance and grounds construction equipment. Basic knowledge and understanding of repair to appliances, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
