We adopted Ryan just after having our first child. He has been a very sweet kitty, and loves to snuggle. We adopted him when he was 3 months old, and he is nearly 4 years old now. Since adopting him, we have had 2 more children, and our firstborn has autism, which has resulted in a very loud and chaotic environment. Ryan is very timid, and when things get loud and crazy, he tends to get scared, and avoids our kids. He does great with adults, however, and after some time to get acquainted, he has done very well with our other cat. But with the wild environment of 3 very young children, we think he would be happier somewhere calmer, especially if he can get more exclusive attention. He is neutered, and had all of his initial shots when we adopted him. He has been indoor only as long as we've had him.
