You've taken my class, "Taking Charge of What You Charge," and now it's time to put those new tools into practice. Creating estimates is likely the most challenging part of a freelance photographer’s job. There are no classes on it, and if you ask anyone for help, they probably respond that they ‘just figured it out.’ The estimate process seems to be a guarded secret, and I aim to fix that. You may be leaving money on the table, underpricing yourself, or the job might be costing you more than you realize. I’ll take you through my estimate creation process to get to a number I’m comfortable quoting to my clients. I’ll be applying all the steps you’ve learned in “Taking Charge of What You Charge.” HOW DOES THIS WORK? You submit actual Request for Proposals (RFPs) through this Eventbrite portal. Three will be selected for the event. You may be contacted in advance to flush out some details. Witness me sweat the details and build a job estimate live. You get to ask the hard questions! I’ll do a deep dive to create detailed and successful estimates and get to a winning number. This is highly participatory and limited to only 12 photographers.
